When you are getting unexpected errors or issues within an internet browser, you should clear the cache. The "Cache" is a build up of files in the browser history that can disrupt the browser from operating properly.
Internet Explorer 9, 10, 11
To clear the Cache In Internet Explorer 9, 10, or 11, click the gear in the top right corner of the page.
A new pop-up will appear and you can select the type of browsing history to delete. We recommend Temporary Internet files, Cookies, and History. Then click Delete.
Once you Delete you will receive a pop up confirmation at the bottom of the page. You should close the browser and then reopen it. You can now retry the website you were having issues with.
Chrome
This will bring up a menu. Scroll to History. Once you highlight History another menu will open, select history again.
This will open a new window. Press the Clear browsing history button.
A new window will open. First select the time frame you want to remove the history. You could choose as far back as the issues began. We recommend the beginning of time just to make sure you get all the troublesome files. Then select, at minimum, Cookies and Cached images and files. For a more thorough cleanse, also remove browsing history and download history. Then click the "Clear browsing data" button at the bottom of the pop up.
When the process is complete it will bring you to the settings page for Chrome. You should close the browser and reopen, then try the website you were having issues with.
Firefox
This will open a menu. Select History.
A sub-menu will open. Select Clear Recent History.
A new window will open. You will be able to select the time frame you wish to clear the history. The default is Everything which is what we recommend. Then you select/deselect the data to be cleared. We recommend clearing at least Cookies and Cache. You can also Clear Browsing & Download History and Form & Search if you want to be more thorough. Then press the Clear Now button. There is no confirmation in Firefox. Close the browser and reopen. Then try the website you were having trouble with again.
Microsoft Edge
A sub-menu will open. Select the tab that looks like a clock. Then press the Clear all history.
A side bar menu will open. Browsing history, Cookies, and Cached data will be preselected. Then press Clear. It is best to then close the browser and reopen. You can then try the website again that you were having issue with.
