The easiest way for students to start an assignment is by using the Assignments Widget.
Note: The Assignment Widget does not show the DUE date for each assignment.
| New: | ALL assignments that have not been opened by the student. (both current and due/past due) |
| Due: | Once a student opens an assignment before or on the due date, the assignment will move to the DUE status. It will remain in this status until the DUE date. *NOTE: a lesson will not move into the DUE status unless it's been opened. |
| Late: | An assignment will move to the LATE status if the student has started the lesson, but has not submitted the lesson by the DUE date. |
The BEST way for a student to view their assignments AND its due dates:
The student should go to LESSONS and ASSIGNMENT SEARCH. Use the Class dropdown to filter by class.
| RED Status/ Bolded | The assignment is DUE or PAST DUE and has not been opened/started by the student |
| RED Status/ Unbolded | The assignment is DUE or PAST DUE and has been opened/started by the student but has not been submitted to the teacher. |
| Grey Status/Bolded: | The assignment is within the Start and DUE date and has not been opened. |
| Grey Status/Unbolded: | The assignment is within the Start and DUE date and HAS been opened/started by the student but has not been submitted to the teacher. |
